According to the CBC’s poll aggregator, the Greens are currently leading the NDP by around 2% in Atlantic Canada.
The Greens have been surging nationally for several months, and are closing in on the NDP nationwide. Polls show the NDP with a 2-point-lead on the NDP nationally, which is close to a statistical tie.
The Atlantic results are surprising since the NDP used to hold many seats in Atlantic Canada.
Recent polling has also revealed the Liberals and Tories to be in a close race for the top spot. The coming federal election is shaping up to be a tight race in Atlantic Canada, with all four major parties having a shot at picking up some seats.
